Philippine Missionary Journeys

And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation."

Mark 16:15

2005 Philippine Missionary Report

This trip will be remembered for the number of miracles that were amazing to us.  There were a lot of blind eyes opened as well as deaf ears that could hear. The first person that I prayed for on the first night was blind in her left eye.  When I prayed for her she said that she could now see out of that eye.  We had her cover her right eye and read our banners. She had no problem doing so. Later, our crusade director told me that the doctors had told her that her optic nerve was dead for that eye and she would never see out of it again.  Thank God we serve a God of miracles.

Crusdade Director's Report

Crusade Director: Jill Boyanas

What a mighty God we serve! We did have a glorious crusade. Although the number of people we reached was smaller because schools were out, the response to salvation and the healings were just amazing. At least 2 nights during the crusade, almost all of those in attendance came forward when the altar call for salvation was made.  I remember one night when we can hardly cope up with people who come up the stage to testify. Much grace was upon each place that we visited. The spiritual impartation upon the Pastors and Leaders in Pilar when you prayed for them during the conference surely strengthened and equipped them. It is an experience that they will always remember.

Here are the final numbers in our crusade in Cagayan and Camotes:

People ministered (including church services and conference)                6465
Salvation response                                                                                        3219
Healing                                                                                                            2495

Number of Bible studies started                                                                       13

I will continue to post more pictures here as they become available so check back.  Also, we will be showing video of the crusades on channel six.  This year we had a lot of interviews with those who were healed.  These should be on Channel six over the summer.  This coming Sunday, May 29th, we will have a missions Sunday where you can hear from each missionary about their individual stories.  I hope to see you there.  You will be blessed!

On the right you see pictures of the missionary team.  In the top one we have just arrived from a twenty four hour trip from Cagayan to the Camotes via two different ferrys.  We are hot and dirty and the Lord smiles on us as we cool off.

The lower picture shows the team as we attend the 20th anniversary of our host fellowship Jesus For All Nations.  In this picture we are fresh from America and ready to begin the battle for souls.  You can also see Anne and Bing Gadian who are the apostolic leaders of Jesus for All Nations as well as Jerry Sala (lower right) who is my interpreter and a great evangelist in his own right.

2005 Missionary Team in Cagayan
Ptr Powell Lemons and Ptr Moen

On the left you see a picture of me (Pastor Eric) with my "big brother in the Lord" Powell Lemons.  Powell has lead this ministry for twenty years and has seen part time missionaries from America lead over 1 million souls to Jesus.

In the lower picture we see the sight we see every night.  The little children lead the way to Jesus.  When on the Island of Poro we delivered a large number of toys to a Christian Day Care which feeds about 60 of the poorest children on the island every day.  Some of these children live in houses made out of banana leaves and only eat regularly at the day care.  We also provided money for a feeding program in Cagayan while we were there.

On the right you see pastora wilma and her husband.  Both pastora Wilma and her husband have graduated from four year Assembly of God Bible Colleges and are planting a church in the Camotes.  They have no income and work on faith.  In this picture Wilma is eight months and three weeks pregnant. She has never had any pre-natal care for her baby.  We were able to help her with money for a mid-wife, money for medicine for the baby, and extra money to help out for the baby.  While we were still in the Philippines she delivered a healthy baby.

While we were there we also passed out 1.5 tons of rice to the local pastors who mostly live by faith with little or no income.  One pastor could not afford to live in the town that he pastors from a church started after last year's crusade.  This year we paid his rent for a house in the town where his church is for one year and provided him 50 kilos of rice.  This particular pastor is a young man who is quite crippled, yet walks everywhere to share the love of Christ.

In the bottom picture you see the response to an altar call.  On at least two nights we had about a 100% response to the gospel message.

On the left is a picture of Sara Stamps playing with the River Jam band.  Sara played one of her original songs with the band for each crusade.  We had crowds of 300-almost 700 each night. The crowds are attracted by seeing an American and listening to the band.

The picture to the lower left is of the day care center at Sunog.  In this picture the kids are eating bread purchased by the missionaries.  The missionaries also reached into their own pockets to buy the day care center about 60 toys.

Going to the Philippines on a missionary journey not only changes the lives of those Philippine residents who are born again and/or healed of serious problems like blindness, but it changes the part time missionaries who go.  I want to encourage you to pray about going on our next trip which leaves January 4th 2006.  There are still a few spots available for that trip.

"...to open their eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the dominion of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who have been sanctified by faith in Me."

Acts 26:18

Thank you for visiting our missions page.  At River Rock we believe there is nothing more important than reaching out to the lost around the world.  Our missionaries leave their families, work, and homes to travel around the world to see the Kingdom of God brought to as many as they can.  We invite you to participate with us.

When Paul wrote to the Philippians he commended them for supporting his missionary by giving out of their poverty.  He told them "And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus."  One of the greatest partnerships in the Kingdom of God is that of the missionary and the men, women, and children that support them.

Last year our missionary team was used by God to lead 6,102 souls to Christ.  The total cost of our trip was about $18,000. That is about $3.00 per soul.  Won't you support our missionaries in 2006 with a cash gift and with prayer?  Let's be partners in carrying out the great commission.

You can support a missionary by sending your check to River Rock Christian Fellowship P.O.Box 1841 Truckee, CA 96160 or click here to give by credit card.  You can indicate that your gift is for a particular missionary or your gift will go to the missionary trip in general, helping everyone.

Your gift is tax deductible.  When you send your gift we will send you a DVD with videos from our 2004 journey.  If you would like to recieve the DVD before you give just let us know.  You can e-mail me, Pastor Eric, with questions, comments, or requests by clicking here.
