We Believe

HOLY BIBLE: The Holy Bible, and only the Holy Bible, is 100% the Word of God. It, alone, is the final authority in determining all doctrinal truths. The Bible, in its original writing, is both inspired and inerrant (II Timothy 3:16, II Peter 1:20-21; Proverbs 30:5; Romans 16:25-26).

TRINITY: The Trinity or Triunity is that in one God there are three distinct persons: the Father, The Son (Jesus) and the Holy Ghost. They are all coequal and co-eternal (1 John 5:7; Genesis 1:26; Matthew 3:16-17; Matthew 28:19; Luke 1:35; Isaiah 9:6; Hebrews 3:7-11)

JESUS CHRIST: Jesus Christ is God the Son, the second person of the Trinity. On earth, Jesus was 100% God and 100% man. He is the only man ever to have lived a sinless life (John 1:1; John 1:14; John 20:28; I Timothy 3:16; Isaiah 9:6; Philippians 2:5-6; I Timothy 2:5)

VIRGIN BIRTH: Jesus Christ was conceived by God the Father, through the Holy Ghost (the third person of the Trinity) in the virgin Mary’s womb; therefore, he is the Son of God (Matthew 1:18, Matthew 1:30; Luke 1:35; Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:27-35)

REPENTANCE: God calls all people he created to the commitment to turn away from sin in every area of our lives and to follow Christ (Acts 1:28; Acts 3:19)

SANCTIFICATION: The ongoing process of yielding to God in order to complete the development of Christ’s character in us (I Thessalonians 4:3; I Thessalonians 5:23; II Corinthians 3:18; II Corinthians 6:14-18; II Thessalonians 2:1-3; Romans 8:29; Romans 12:1-2; Hebrews 2:11)

JESUS’ BLOOD: The Blood that Jesus Christ shed on the Cross of Calvary was sinless and is 100% sufficient to cleanse humanity of all sins. Jesus allowed Himself to be punished for the sins we have committed, enabling all those who believe to be free from the penalty and mastery of sin, which is eternal death (I John 1:7; Revelations 1:5; Revelations 5:9; Colossians 1:20; Romans 3:10-12; Romans 3:23; Romans 5:9; John 1:29)

JESUS CHIRST INDWELLS ALL BELIEVERS: Christians are people who have invited the Lord Jesus Christ to come and live inside them. They are putting their trust in what Jesus accomplished for them when He died, was buried, and rose again from the dead (John 1:12; John 14:17; John 14:23; John 15:4; Romans 8:11; Revelations 3:20)

BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT WITH THE EVIDENCE OF SPEAKING IN TONGUES: Given at Pentecost, it is the promise of the Father, sent by Jesus after His Ascension, to empower the Church to preach the Gospel throughout the whole earth. Its purpose is to bring edification tot the believers and to enhance their prayer life, building up their most holy faith and praying according to the Fathers will. It is also a sign to the unbeliever ( Joel 2:28-29; Matthew 3:11; Mark 16:17; Acts 1:5; Acts 1:8; Acts 2:1-4; Acts 2:17; Acts 2:38-39; Acts 10:38; Acts 10:44-47; Acts 11:15-17; Acts 19:1-6; ; Romans 8:26; Corinthians 14:14-17; Jude 1:20)

HEALING OF THE SICK: Healing of the sick is illustrated in the life and ministry of Jesus the Christ, and included in the commission of Jesus to His disciples. It is given as a sign which is to follow believers everywhere they go. It is also a part of Jesus’ atonement on the Cross (Psalm 103:23; Isaiah 53;5; Matthew 8:16-17; Mark 16:17-18; Acts 8:6-7; James 5:4-16; John 2:11)

RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD: Jesus Christ was physically resurrected from the dead in a glorified body three days after His death on the cross. One day, all believers in Christ will also be physically resurrected in their glorified bodies to their eternal reward in heaven with God (Luke 24:16; Luke 24:36; Luke 24:39; John 2:19-21; John 20:26-28; John 21:4; Acts 24:15; I Corinthians 15:42; I Corinthians 15:44; Philippians 1:21-23; Philippines 3:21)

HEAVEN: Heaven is the eternal dwelling place of all believers in the Gospel of Jesus Christ (Matthew 5:3; Matthew 5:12; Matthew 19:21; Matthew 25:34; John 17:24; II Corinthians 5:1; Hebrews 11:16; I Peter 1:4)

SECOND COMING: Jesus Christ will physically and visibly return to earth for the second time to establish His Kingdom. This will occur at a date undisclosed by the Scriptures and “no man knows the day or the hour” (Matthew 24:30; Matthew 26:63-64; Acts 1:9011; I Thessalonians 4:15-17; II Thessalonians 1:7-8; Revelations 1:7)

HELL: After living one life on earth, the unbelievers will be judged by God and sent to Hell where they will be eternally tormented with the Devil and the Fallen Angels ( Matthew 25:41; Mark 9:43-48; Hebrews 9:27; Revelations 14:9-11; Revelations 20:12-15; Revelations 21:8)

TWO SACRAMENTS: 1) Water Baptism - Following believing in the Lord Jesus Christ, the new convert is commanded by the Word of God to be baptized in water in the Name of the Lord (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38). 2) The Lord’s Supper - A unique time of communion in the presence of God when the elements of bread and grape juice (representing the Body and Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ) are taken in remembrance of Jesus’ sacrifice on the Cross (Matthew 26:26-29; Mark 16:16; Acts 8:12; Acts 8:36-38; Acts 10:47-48; I Corinthians 10:16; I Corinthians 11:23-25)

THE BODY OF CHRIST: Those that believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and receive Him as their Lord and Savior, trusting Him to save them from their sin through His death on the cross and His resurrection of the dead are considered to be the Body of Christ. Every believer therefore is a member of Christ and a minister for Christ. Every believer has a testimony to be His witness and has been gifted through the Holy Spirit to carry His power on this earth. The Gifts of the Spirit and the Fruit of the Spirit are a part of witness of Jesus Christ on the earth and are expected to flow freely as the Holy Spirit quickens and moves through every believer. The Gifts are received through faith, the laying on of hands and the sovereign move of the Holy Spirit in the believers life. The Fruit of the Spirit are worked out and developed in each believers character according to the yielding of each believers lives to the working of His will ( Deuteronomy 34:9; I Timothy 4:14; I Corinthians 12 & 13; Galatians 5:22-26)

LOVE OF CHRIST: All believers are called to fulfill the greatest commandment of Jesus and that is to love one another as He has loved us. (I Corinthians 13; John 13:34-35; John 15:12-17)

MARRIAGE: God created man and woman in His own image to have relationship with each other and with the Godhead. Marriage is between a man and a woman. It is a life long commitment and it is to reflect the image of God on the earth. Marriage is to be held in honor and respect between the man and the woman and the marriage bed is to remain undefiled (Genesis 1:27-28; Genesis 5:2; Hebrews 13:4; I Peter 3:7; Mark 10:6-9)
